Hey Empty Set Dollar Community! If you have no idea what Continuous ESD (ESDv2) is please refer to a previous newsletter, which explains why and this video explainer which explains what. You can (should) also read the Medium article written by the ESS, and read the write-up done by Complement Capital.
V2 launch is around the corner, but while we wait: DeFi Pulse Partnership, possible name change, and my goodbye (kinda)!
DeFi Pulse Partnership
If you didn’t know, one of the most trusted names in the space put forth a TIP to work with Empty Set Dollar. The partnership details are available to be read here. To summarize: DeFi Pulse is deeply rooted in the Defi eco-system. They’re agreeing to use their network to propel this project forward. They stand to gain 16.5 Million ESDS which will vest linearly over 2 years. Additionally, the ESD DAO will grant a treasury of 5 Million ESDS to be used by the DeFi pulse team in pursuing business development. Finally the team will be given a bonus based on Total Value Locked measurements. To monitor progress, the Empty Set Dao or any dedicated team will be in charge of creating a dashboard with a list of protocols onboarded, and their respective TVL’s.
In other words, big partnership.
What’s in a name?
There have been a ton of changes with the protocol over the past three months. The ESS, and SN2 team think that there should be a bit of a rebranding and a name change that will make the two token system clearer. We’re not completely changing and leaving Empty Set behind, but there will be a few name changes coming soon
TheBeardedProf Sign-Off
Starting June 7th, I will no longer be a part of the SN2 Team. I love the project, and I am confident we are going in the right direction, but I have been offered a position that I cannot turn down. (And I couldn’t do both well.) As a stake holder, it’s important to me that whomever takes over the position be able to dedicate the amount of time required to a project of this magnitude and potential. Working with the SN2 Team has been an incredible experience, and I’m very thankful for all that I have learned throughout this process. I appreciate the team, the community, and I will still be active on Discord and Telegram. Until someone else joins the SN2 Team, Lewi will take over the newsletter and announcements. I am very proud of the work I’ve done at ESD and look forward to what the ESS, and SN2 Team do next.
